Pensioners helped raise money for a hospice by drinking coffee.
The residents of Green Haven Court, Cowplain, raised a cup for the Rowans Hospice, Purbrook.

They were joined by family and friends at the new retirement flats in London Road for the worthy cause.

Les and Mavis Watford recently moved into their new home in the block from just a few hundred yards down the road.

Mr Watford, 75, who worked at Wadhams Coachbuilder's in Waterlooville, and also as a retained firefighter, enjoyed the morning with his 74 year-old wife.

While enjoying a cup of coffee the couple also took part in the name-the-teddy competition from which all the profits went to the hospice.
