Published Date: 07 October 2008
Natural England and the charity Mind are urging people to walk to improve health and wellbeing as part of Get Moving Week, which runs until October 12.
And Havant Borough Council is supporting the initiative.

Several of the excursions are in the Waterlooville area – Purbrook, Wecock, Cowplain and Waterlooville – and anyone is welcome to join in the free hour-long walks.

Every first Monday of the month, the Cowplain group meets at 2pm at the Cowplain Activity Centre, Padnell Road, and the Purbrook group at the Good Shepherd Church, Crookhorn Lane, every Wednesday at 9.45am.

The Waterlooville group meets on Thursdays at the bottom of Rowlands Avenue in Jubilee Car Park at 10am and the Wecock group, at the Acorn Centre, Eagle Avenue on the last Sunday of the month at 11am.

To find out more contact the council on (023) 9244 6378 or log on to www.havant.gov.uk
