A fundraising mum who has been trying to raise thousands of pounds for her disabled daughter says the end is finally in sight – thanks to generous News readers.
Allison Crutcher has been trying to raise £8,000 since October last year. She wants to buy her daughter Mia a special hydrotherapy bath.
The four-year-old has severe cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair. The only way she can really relax is in water.
Miss Crutcher received several donations after Mia's story appeared in The News – and now, just £694 more is needed.
Miss Crutcher, 30, of Salterns Estate, Fareham, said: 'I'm just so pleased. I really am over the moon.
'People have been so generous in helping us get this far, I'm so grateful.'
One more fundraising event is planned next month.
Miss Crutcher and five other people are set to do a sponsored parachute jump on June 29. If you'd like to sponsor the group, call Miss Crutcher on 07763 666675 or send an e-mail to allisonsteve@yahoo.co.uk.
