Normally they spend their days crunching numbers. But this big-hearted group of accountants swapped their computers for rakes and spades to help spruce up a charity's headquarters.
Kind-hearted staff from PricewaterhouseCoopers tidied up the grounds of Signature Care and Support, in Leigh Park, after it was repeatedly targeted by vandals.
Grilles had to be put up on the windows of the office in Dunsbury Way after they were smashed by yobs.
But the charity, which provides housing to vulnerable adults with disabilities has now received a makeover.
Staff at the accountancy firm sprung into action after hearing about the problems they were having.
Sarah Woodman, from Signature, who helped organise the clean-up, said: 'It was a lot of hard work but we had really good fun too.
'From the outside the building looks derelict because of the grilles and the overgrown garden. It was not in a nice state and it attracted vandals.
'Whenever people found out the charity was based there people always said they thought it was empty.
'We realised if we could just get the manpower to have a major clear-up people would know this was not an abandoned building.'
Miss Woodman was bowled over by the help they received from the accountants as well as local businesses, such as TJ Waste, Stansted Garden Centre, Wickes and Homebase, which donated plants, grass seed, and even removed tree stumps and provided a skip for free.
Miss Woodman added: 'We are so grateful to everyone. The major work is all done, now all we need to do is maintain it.'
