On the festival front this weekend, many will be attending either of the biggies '“ Latitude in Suffolk and Lovebox in London. But if you haven't managed to grab tickets, there's plenty going on this week in Portsmouth to keep you busy.

First up, tonight at The Old Barn in Milton, promoters No Optics will be presenting Blinded By Bass Part 2 – a huge jungle and drum and bass takeover!

The line-up for the evening will include legendary jungle DJ Kenny Ken (Mix and Bien Recordings) accompanied by DJ Kid Lib, Smiley Mac, Indy, Budge, Elsta b2b Nooch alongside MC Ralf Lauren. Said to be No Optic’s biggest night yet, expect nothing less than an evening of hard-hitting drum breaks and basslines. Doors open 6pm until 1.30am – with a free barbecue from 6pm until 8pm. For more go to oldbarnmilton.co.ukOn the schools out front tonight, Flip Out Portsmouth will be throwing its biggest After Dark Session to date with 20 Hertz Events resident DJ LA-TO. Two hour-long sessions will run from 7pm until 9pm, costing £10 for each hour or £15 for both. Expect plenty of energetic house and drum and bass anthems to set the pace for the energetic two hours. More information at facebook.comTomorrow from 1pm at The Royal Albert in Albert Road, Reform Music will be hosting a free garden party up until 7pm which will be continued with a secret after party. Reform Music is a sub label of Portsmouth based drum and bass imprint Inform Records that has a focus on alternative bass music in genres such as footwork, halftime, jungle and everything in between!

Saturday’s line-up will see resident DJs Matt Seeney, Bluesceen, Walters, Seejay, Telex, Mota and Lupo perform from 1pm until 7pm alongside the secret after party acts post 7pm, to be announced at the event. More information at facebook.com
