Have your say

This is a week filled to the brim with Christmas parties and

festive frolicking.

From today you will find the party vibe in pretty much any club you find yourself in.

Whether that’s Tiger Tiger, the Registry, the Astoria, the Barn, Drift Bar or any other bar or club in Portsmouth you will be able to drink, dance and be merry.

Tomorrow night Amplified Sessions are hosting a Christmas party at the Astoria from 10pm with headline act Matt Tolfrey from Leftroom Records.

Matt started as a radio DJ,
before he became more and more popular on the clubbing scene with his interest in experimenting with electronic music.

Supporting him will be DJ Gus Emmett. Tickets are £7 available from Resident Advisor.

Nearby at the Wedgewood Rooms you will also find that Beats & Swing are hosting their Christmas party from 9pm with Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer.

Their Electro Sing events are so original it really is worth checking them out.

On Monday night, Purrmotions are back at the registry from 9pm until 2am.

They bring you headliner Applebottom who has a unique style of eerie vocals mixed with bouncing bass lines.

Tickets are £5 available from Resident Advisor.

If you haven’t decided on a Christmas Eve location then head to Drift Bar in Palmerston Road for the Swanky Sessions Christmas special.

From 10pm until 3am you will be treated to the sounds of some past guests. Join DJs Matt Berry, Barney Osborn, Brandon Lilly and Gus Emmett to welcome Christmas day with a hangover. Entry is £3 before 11pm and more after.

Lastly, Love Amplified have brought us a Christmas present in the shape of DJ James Zabiela that we can open from 9.30pm on Boxing Day at the Astoria.

He may be from Southampton but this is one talented DJ known for his turntable skills, extensive looping and effects, thrown in with use of various controllers all creating an original set.
