Have your say

This month, everything starts to look up.

Spring is just round the corner and our clubs start their run up to summer with a great weekend.

It all starts at Club 8. Their newest event, 212, is back tonight. It’s, two floors, one club and £2 drinks all evening long.

Music will come by way of DJ Richie S and DJ-A.

Richie S is one of Aiya Nappa’s hottest DJs so the club has decided to bring him in every Friday to make sure you have a night to remember.

If it happens to be your birthday and you’re going to be out with your friends, make sure you write your name, with the number of guests you’re bringing, on Club 8’s Facebook wall and they will give you free entry plus a queue jump before 11pm.

The night kicks off at 9pm. Entry is free before 10pm and £4 after.

We see two heavyweights go head to head at the Wedgewood Rooms tomorrow night. It’s Hipshaker vs. Biff!Bang!Pow!

Hipshaker will be keeping it real with their impeccable mix of vintage funk, soul, jazz, R ‘n’B and Motown at The Wedge.

While in The Edge, The Ricardos will be headlining Biff!Bang!Pow, debuting their new single.

There will also be a performance from Papa Jones ‘s Magic Moonshine Band.

This is a unique opportunity to see one Portsmouth’s most frequently followed and long-running club nights go head to head.

Doors open at 10.30pm and entry costs £5.

Plus, the Hipshaker DJs will be rocking on until 2am.

Popworld, previously Babylon, has continued to rise since its rebranding.

The good run continues on Tuesday night as they are putting on their very own student night, Rock ‘n’ Roller.

As the name suggests, the music policy is on the rockier side, with DJ Daddy Alex and the Southsea Mafia doing what they do best with the best alternative tunes from the last three decades.

Being a student night, it has to be cheap and cheap it is. They promise free entry all night long as well as £1.50 drinks.

Doors open at 10pm.
