It’s fair to say that last week’s events were the pinnacle of the year so far and, although this week lacks the grandeur, there are still a few nights to tickle your fancy and chance to win a great prize.
Neon Ballroom returns to the Edge of the Wedge tomorrow night providing a top notch alternative, punk and rock anthems night from the team behind It’s a Sin and Club NME Portsmouth.
Put together by a mix of musicians and a couple of the old Chaos DJs (back when it was held on the pier), they’re on a mission to throw the best alternative party nights they possibly can.
They’re also not scared of throwing in the occasional curveball and seeing what happens with bundles of guitar pop plus a smattering of metal smashers, hip hop and new indie tunes – and as many of your requests as they can get away with.
Everything kicks off at 11pm with DJ J Growley and runs until 2am. Entry is free.
Supersonic, Liquid’s newest night, returns to the popular Portsmouth club tomorrow night with a twist.
Tonight they have a pair of tickets to the Isle of Wight Festival up for grabs.
Simply turn up for your chance to win and see the likes of Bon Jovi, The Killers and The Stone Roses at one of the biggest live music events in the UK.
Selected drinks are £2 all night long with double-ups for £1.50
The night kicks off at 10pm and entry costs £2 before 11pm, £4 before midnight and £6 thereafter.
Thursday may seem like a bit of a random night to go out on the town, but Club 8 has started putting on a night that may just tempt you out for a sneaky dance or two. DJ Mike Money takes charge playing all of the week’s hits with Guestlist Thursday.
They promise bargain drink prices all night and more importantly, free entry with names on the guest list before 10.30pm - plus discounted and queue jump entry if you get there before midnight.
Just write on their Facebook wall and turn up.
Otherwise, entry is £1 before 10.30pm, £2 before midnight, and £3 after.
