Have your say

I missed out last weekend as I was off on a hen do, which resulted in one bride with a hand broken in three places and a nice day in hospital.

So this weekend I am keen to make up for lost time and get out and about.

The weekend welcomes back, for the first time this year, Amplified at the Glashaus on Saturday from 2pm until 10.30pm.

It seems like ages ago that we all made our way to The Pyramids for one of Love Amplified’s legendary day parties. So, let the summer of love begin.

Hopefully the sun will make a welcome appearance on the day and let us start a summer filled with day raves and maximum fun.

As always these guys aim to please and pull out all the stops when it comes to making sure they have a full line up of head line DJS.

This weekend is no different as you will be joined by Tough Love, Low Steppa, Carnao Beats and Mark Radford.

Not only that, there are some of your favourite local talents such as Jason Foy, Liz C, Brandon Lilly and Dan Smith.

To continue the fun there is also a secret after-party that will be announced on the day. Tickets are £15 available from Resident Advisor.

If this isn’t for you then The Old Barn is trialling a new concept. One DJ, a five hour set, with all proceeds going to the DJ himself.

This makes a refreshing change as some DJs can put a lot of effort in for little reward nowadays. Join Chip Jacks from 8.30pm until 1.30am with £1 entry.

Alternatively Chas and Dave take over the Wedge from 9pm until 2.30am.

This crazy duo will be mixing things up and keeping things crazy in a no holds barred kind of way.

They also offer you a chance to catch a glimpse of Rowan from Kassassin Street doing a guest DJ set.

According to them, you should tell your mothers you aren’t coming home and will be selling your soul to the devil.

Entry to the event will be free all night.
