From one bank holiday to another. I hope you enjoyed your extra-long Easter weekend and ingested as much chocolate as possible (along with some Jager Bombs to wash it all down).

This week, the royal wedding is upon us. No work and a great excuse to party Wedding-reception-style.

My first pick to watch the ceremony in style is Little Johnny Russell’s which is putting on a huge bow tie and tiara party.

Watch the occasion on LJR’s big screen and enjoy their selection of cheap champagne.

Entry is free to all before 8pm. Those in fancy dress will still get in gratis after, but it will be £2 for those in normal dress.

Chicago’s in Fareham are really pulling out the stops this weekend. Three nights of fantastic activities are being put on so you can have a great time celebrating the marriage of Wills and Kate.

They’ve also put together some fantastic drinks offers to help your party get into full swing. Get a Pimms and lemonade half yard for £6.95, a royal red, white and blue fish bowl for £10.95 and Moet and Chandon for £35. There’s also two for one on selected drinks until 10pm.

Saturday is The Day After The Night Before. Enjoy a right royal knees-up as the celebrations continue with the biggest indoor street party in the UK – open until 2am.

Sunday finishes off the triple with The Honeymoon. There’s no work the day after, so join them and find your Prince Charming or Cinderella until 1am with a £1 offer on selected drinks until 10pm.

For those of you who just want to get out tonight and party hard to start the second long weekend properly, get down to the Wedgewood Rooms for Sumo.

Vocal house extraordinaires Nero will be headlining the night with their powerful mixes. Support comes by way of DC Breaks, Kry Wolf and the Concrete DJs.

Tickets are £12 and are available on the door or at wedgewood-rooms.co.uk
