Have your say

Can you believe it? We are nearly half way through the year already. It seems like only yesterday that I was guiding you through all the biggest nights to celebrate the New Year. Now, in six months, I will be showing you the best way to enter 2012.

This week I have Friday and Saturday night madness to keep all of you entertained.

First up, your last chance to win tickets for Sonisphere at the Wedgewood Rooms.

Pete Scathe will be there with his very own rock and metal night, Thunderdome in the Edge. As before, the event will have a fancy dress theme but this time it’s cartoon inspired. Their resident photographers will be snapping away with the best dressed winning a pair of tickets each.

So, if you are gagging to go to one of the biggest alternative festivals in the country, now is your time to find something unique to wear and win those tickets.

As always, It’s a Sin will follow with the same cartoon or animé fancy dress theme playing all the best retro and guilty pleasure tunes you can handle. My favourite part is that entry is completely free.

Tonight’s other attraction is one for the ladies at Tiger Tiger. They present the hottest dining experience that will have you girls spitting your champagne all over the table in amazement, The Dreamboys.

Imagine a modern version of the Chippendales, plus a two-course meal with wine and you wont be going far wrong. A night of seductive entertainment, they call it. The event will set you back £20. That includes the meal, a Dreamboy performance to get your blood pressure running high and entry to the club afterwards.

Now, going back to the usual listings, Little Johnny Russell’s are still on top form with a special instalment of We Supply Movement tomorrow night. None other than acid-rave sci-fi punk-funk rockers the Klaxons, will be there for a special live DJ set. Expect a big party.

Support comes from Red Indie. Admission is £5.

Finally, Liquid & Envy are set to cause a Sensation tomorrow as they present their ultimate Saturday night party. If you just fancy a flat out night of clubbing then this is the night for you.

The main room features club anthems, chart, house and r ‘n’ b with DJ Jazz Black. While the sub room will be controlled by DJ Swingsta who, as ever, will be playing his special blend of urban grooves.

Tell Dan about the clubs you love by emailing him at danmvalverde@gmail.com.
