In 1712 Jonas Hanway, the man who popularised the umbrella, was born on the site of Groundlings Theatre.

This festival at theatre in Portsmouth tomorrow, is a chance to enjoy live music, performances and art and craft stalls, which celebrate the diverse culture in Portsmouth.

There’ll also be history tours, a costume exhibition, family fun activities and workshops. The event runs from 11am-5pm and is free.
