Tonight sees the start of a new monthly music event, bringing some of the country’s best jazz musicians to the heart of Hampshire.

Each month Jazz on the Green will see a live band grace the stage for two hours of traditional jazz and swing music.

First to grace the stage will be The Amy Roberts and Richard Exall Quintet as they perform an eclectic range of high-octane music on a range of clarinets, saxophones and flute. Their performances include popular standards and vocals as well as more unusual material inspired from early jazz/swing music.

Founded by local Jazz enthusiast Barry Quantrill, it is a non-profit making venture which aims to bring a new style of jazz club to the Sarisbury Green Community Centre.

Tickets £10 advance, £12 on the door. Doors 7.15pm.
