Big Boy Bloater’s performances are well-known to roots and blues audiences across Europe, the US and Canada.

But tomorrow he’ll be focusing on Portsmouth when he brings his gruff and entertaining rootsy style to the Cellars.

He has been lauded as ‘one of the great blues men of our time’ by Jools Holland and described as ‘the next big thing in blues’ by Classic Rock Blues magazine.

As well as touring extensively, Big Boy Bloater has made numerous TV and radio appearances.

These include the Jo Whiley show on BBC Radio 2, chatting to Craig Charles (sitting in), and recording a live session and interview on the Jools Holland Radio 2 show.

The singer songwriter has also played guitar behind artists like Paloma Faith and Imelda May.

Tickets: £8 in advance and £10 on the door.
