This year Billy Bragg released his first new studio album in five years and is now on tour.
The singer songwriter and political activist will be at Southampton Guildhall on Monday.
The last album, Tooth and Nail, features 12 songs, including one written for London’s Bush Theatre and a cover of Woody Guthrie’s I Ain’t Got No Home.
It continues to explore the genres of Americana and alternative country, which Bragg has been playing and writing regularly for the last five years.
Over more than three decades Bragg has been offering his blend of folk music, punk and protest songs featuring lyrics that range from the romantic to the political.
Tickets for the Southampton gig are £22.75.
