TEN more big names have been added to the line-up of next year’s Isle of Wight Festival, including veteran punk Billy Idol headlining the opening night, on the Big Top stage.
US rock band Counting Crows, funkateers Kool and The Gang, rising Irish rockers Kodaline, Surrey pop-punkers You Me At Six, Swedish sister duo First Aid Kit, and Australian newcomers Sheppard were announced as having joined the bill last night.
Acclaimed pop singer-songwriter Jessie Ware, flamboyant glam-rockers The Struts, and the hotly-tipped Jess Glynne will now also be playing over the weekend of June 11 to 14.
They join the legendary Fleetwood Mac – which is a UK festival exclusive, The Prodigy, The Black Keys and Pharrell Williams, who were all announced last week for the event, which takes place at Seaclose Park in Newport.
Tickets went on sale last Friday from isleofwightfestival.com. A ticket for the weekend with camping costs £195, without camping costs £185.
