B oth Portsmouth Festival Choir and Portsmouth Baroque Choir give Christmas concerts tomorrow at 7.30pm.

The Festival Choir will sing works by Monteverdi, Bach and Handel at Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral. Tickets cost £12 on (01420) 489316 or at the door on the night.

The Baroque Choir will be at Holy Spirit Church, Southsea, to sing the Christmas Oratorio by Saint-Saens and carols. Tickets cost £10 on (023) 9259 1462.

Also, health problems have forced conductor Peter Craddock to confine himself to Rachmaninov’s second symphony in his final concert with the Havant Symphony Orchestra.

The orchestra’s former Bob Harding Bursary holder, Rob Hodge, will now conduct. The concert is at Oaklands School, Waterlooville, tomorrow (7.30pm). Tickets cost £6 to £18 on (01243) 377430.
