Last Saturday Maxi Jazz from Faithless came to town and what a night that was.

Hats off to Beats & Swing and the Monkey Love Stunt Team for pulling that one off, I had a great time.

Also, a big congratulations to Elliot Cronin for winning The Astoria DJ competition on Monday. All the finalists played quality sets but Elliot came out on top and won the prize of a set at Mutiny in the Park.

Tonight, after four years, it’s the end of an era for Concrete Music, as they host their final event at The Registry from 9pm until 5am, before it closes its doors for the last time. To finish things up with a bang they have invited Artwork to come and play.

This will definitely mean giving The Reg a massive send off with this huge party.

Come down and join the Concrete DJs and a Funktion One sound system for just £7, tickets available from Resident Advisor.

Do not fear though, as Concrete will be back in September with a new home.

Also tonight is another Tiger Tiger special as they welcome Tom Parker from popular boy band The Wanted for an exclusive DJ set.

The event starts 9pm until 3am but head down early as its 50 per cent off of all drinks between 5pm and 9pm.

Standard tickets are £5 on the door, or splash out for a meet and greet ticket for £6 – but there will be limited availability.

Tomorrow is another mega day party from Love Amplified as they host We Are Seven.

From 3.30pm until 5am they will be throwing headline DJs at you left, right and centre over two venues. Starting at Tiger Tiger during the day and ending up at The Astoria for the after party.

Party nonstop with DJs Route 94, Second City, Walker & Royce and Gotsome at Tiger Tiger, with support from a whole host of local talent such as Brandon Lilly, Jack Figgins and Barney Osborne, plus a secret third room with a very special guest.

Then move to The Astoria and join DJs Ben Pearce, Carnao Beats and Low Steppa.

Don’t miss out and get your tickets from Resident Advisor for £30 for entry into both venues.
