Last weekend saw Hannah Wants fill The Astoria to the brim for Love Amplified and by all accounts it was a brilliant night, Amplified as always delivering the goods to the partygoers of Portsmouth.
The same can be said for Det Sync at the Fat Fox – the pub was rammed and I heard some really good reviews for the night.
Tonight is a new night for Drift Bar on Palmerston Road as Twisted sets up camp upstairs from 10pm until 3am, bringing with them a lighting production like you will never believe.
Resident DJs Scott T and Chris Denney will be bringing you the best in tech house and techno and have invited along special guest DJ Adicon who will be playing a two hour set.
I asked Scott what to expect and he said sophisticated, fresh underground beats from three DJs to watch out for and a sound and light production to blow your mind. Enough said.
Entry is £2 before 11pm and £5 afterwards.
Tomorrow night Amplified Sessions are throwing some more good stuff in your direction, keeping the benchmark high – just the way they like it.
From 10pm until 2am don your dancing shoes and head to The Astoria basement as DJs Joy Orbison and Midland are in town for your listening pleasure.
Joy Orbison fronted an Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 earlier this year. I have a feeling this night is going to go off.
Tickets are £8, available online from Resident Advisor.
Finally, tonight also marks the last time you will see Funktifino host their monthly party at The Wedgewood Rooms as they pass the baton on to The Monkey Love Stunt Team.
Although The Wedge has been their sanctuary for the past 19 years, it is time for them to start a new chapter of partying.
So funk, stunt and shake at the Funktifino Farewell Party from 10pm until 3am.
The Funktifino Allstars are joined by The Monkey Love Stunt Team as they pay homage to parties past and present, playing a mix of funk, soul and disco.
It is free entry before 11pm so do not miss out on a great night.
