Have your say

This weekend I am sure we are going to be inundated with all kinds of heart-shaped joys and romantic gestures as Valentine’s Day pops up for its annual visit.

But it doesn’t matter if you haven’t got that special person in your life, there will be more than enough going on in and around Portsmouth to keep you entertained – and you never know who you may meet on a night out.

Tonight, from 7pm until 1.30am, Den Sessions take over The Barn in Milton for the last time.

These Hugo Adkins and Simon Searle are pretty fond of getting together weekly and having a mix in their den, but this week they bring it out in public so they can share their fun with everyone.

Joining them in room one will be DJs Luke Dodd, Chris Heaton and Josh Gunn with the sounds of all that is House and Techno.

Meanwhile, One Love head up room two with a bit of garage.

Entry will be free all night.

Taking the lead for my Valentine’s Day recommendations, there is the launch party for new night, Linkz, which will be taking control of Flamingos Bar on Albert Road for the evening, from 8pm until 1am.

With one stunning female resident DJ in the shape of Liz C, not forgetting the new male resident Nik Bunting.

These two will team up and take you on a musical journey from start to finish with he sounds of soulful and vocal house.

Check them out as I am feeling this event will get you in the mood, especially with free entry.

Lastly, I have another new night for you to try out, but this time at Skye Bar in Guildhall Walk.

Introducing, Reboot presents Jamm from 10pm until 2am.

These guys aim to keep you away from tedious repetitive playlists, and break down the barriers between the various different music genres, bringing you the best dance tunes designed to keep you partying all night.

Entry will be £2 on the door but this includes a free shot and there will be Valentine’s freebies throughout the night.
