Have your say

I saw lots of familiar faces last weekend as I joined in the birthday celebrations for Matt Berry, all for a great cause as all proceeds went to charity.

Both Chris Vaux and Liz Cornick did him proud and should be over the moon with what they created.

This weekend sees the return of Linkz at Flamingos Bar on Albert Road in Southsea from 7pm until 1.30am.

Joining Liz C this time round will be the very talented Ash Foster. Now we all know Ash loves to have a chat about his music, but he will let the tunes do the talking tomorrow, as I am sure he will treat you to quite a few he has made himself.

To top that off nicely, all drinks are £2.50 each until 10pm, and don’t forget it is free entry all night.

Also tomorrow night, there’s another exciting new night at the Old Barn in Milton – introducing Snug, a brand new event brought to you by the Love Amplified team. Kicking things off at 8pm and running through until 1am, Snug presents: Soul Divide & Friends.

Soul Divide is the well thought-out pairing of Amplified’s Dan Back and Sam Bylett, who have had many successes recently with their tracks getting air time from some pretty decent and well-known DJs.

Also bringing you the best house music all night long will be fellow Love Amplified residents: The Business Partners, Significant Other and Alex Fowlie.

Entry will be free all night, but only on the condition that you party non-stop.

Lastly, from 9pm until 3am, Funktifino are taking up position in their new home, Drift Bar, and are coming at you hard with Retro’s Revenge.

They want to welcome you in get you comfortable, and then take you back – taking you way back when, penetrating your eardrums with the best in funk, soul, disco and club classics.

Come on, you all know the moves!

And if you don’t, then follow the lead of The Funktifino Allstars, who will no doubt be making shapes.

Entry is free before 9pm and £3 on the door after.
