Festival season is still in full swing! Last weekend was the turn of Boomtown, over near Winchester, I haven’t tried this one yet but the stories I have heard from people who have are pretty extreme.

I am however going to V Festival this weekend, and let’s not forget our own Victorious Festival will be with us next weekend, so make sure you get your tickets while you still can.

Tonight is the time when Murky D&B and Lush FM join forces to bring you Box-Fresh from 10pm until 3.30am at the Mini Box on Commercial Road.

Every other month they team up and get together some of Portsmouth’s finest drum and bass DJs, along with inviting along some up and coming talent from all around the country.

Showcasing the DJs will be one mightly sound system, brought to you by The Milita Sound System and Shellshocked Soundx.

DJs such as The Murky Squad, Inertia, Intec and Havok will be playing on vinyl only, bringing you 100 per cent vibes.

Entry will be £3 before 11pm and more after, but the capacity is only 150 so get there quick.

Tomorrow night The Old Barn in Milton have their own night Snug going on from 8.30pm until 1.30am. The night where you decide what you pay when you come in and all payment goes straight to the hand-picked DJ who will be playing you a five-hour set.

This weekend they have gone all out and booked DJ Ian Void, aka Geushky. A DJ who stretched from uncompromising techno to experimental electronic music. If you have never heard of Ian Void before, expect something special.

Lastl, on Monday night the Delight team take over The Astoria from 10pm until 2am.

They come prepared to pillage and will be dressed in their finest horned helmets and leather as the Vikings invade Portsmouth.

Not only that but there’s a meat raffle!

Head down in your best Viking get up for a night of alternative rock anthems, rock and roll and party jams, with a side of metal downstairs. Entry is £4.
