Finally, we have reached the weekend of Victorious festival – another annual local event that does Portsmouth proud.
It is a fun day out for all the family, with loads of live music and entertainment.
If you’re bringing your little ones head over to the Ickle Bambino Baby Raves tent and those guys will be sure to have them dancing.
Just like last year the organisers have pulled out all the stops and have created a fantastic line-up, including acts like The Flaming Lips, Primal Scream, The Fratellis, Basement Jaxx, Ella Eyre, Tinie Tempah and The Subways.
And not forgetting some amazing local talents, such as Kojak’s Revenge, Kassassin Street, Slick Minded Individuals, Just Millie, Alfie Horne, Ben Brookes and Deluxe Flamingos.
This will all be topped off nicely with sets from popular Portsmouth DJs Mike Jackson, Monkey Love Stunt Team, Chip Jacks, Big Child Man Child, Pete Callard, Jason Foy and Billy Colborn.
Despite what it’s been like these past few days, hopefully the weather will hold out for it all, but I am sure a little bit of rain will not stop us partying, so I will see you all at the front.
Slotting themselves in perfectly between the two days of Victorious are Love Amplified. They have been awfully quiet recently but I am very happy that they are back.
Not ones to be outdone by a festival, they have booked a huge headline act to bring to the Portsmouth shores.
From 10pm at The Pyramids you will find the one and only Green Velvet gracing the decks, with support from Rhythm Masters.
I know many a DJ friend who have raved about this act for a very long time and some of those have had the privilege to join him on the line up.
Local legends Chris Vaux, Stu Bryan and Abbo will also on hand to keep the party going.
Not only that, but even the Civilisation of The Rough guys are involved as they host room two. Don’t miss out – tickets are £20 available from Resident Advisor.
