I hope everyone is ready for Christmas and is preparing for their antics on New Year’s Eve – hopefully Portsmouth has something for everyone!

To start things off we have Love Amplified presenting their New Year’s Eve Amplified Session with the acclaimed house and techno DJ from Leeds, Darius Syrossian.

The event will be taking place at The Fleet, Guildhall Walk, and promises to be a huge night for the local house music scene with Soul Divide, Kydus, Abbo, Brandon Lilly and Alex Fowlie also on the.

Also on the house music front this NYE are Bristol duo Blonde at Liquid and Envy night club, Guildhall.

Over the past two years, Blonde have risen to worldwide success following top 10 single I Loved You in 2014 and All Cried Out this year.

However, gracing the decks at The Astoria, Guildhall Walk, will be the award-winning BBC Radio 1 Saturday night DJ Mistajam, promising a DJ set full of the very best pop/RnB/house anthems.

For anyone who’s after a bit of nostalgia this New Year’s Eve, Groovebox will be presenting their old school ’90s house music party with Timmi Magic of BBC Radio 1 Fame at The Old Barn, Milton. The night promises to be full of house classics with Groover Washington, Tony Broad and Matt Singleton also on the bill; doors will be open from 8pm until 3am with tickets costing £10 from facebook.com
