Music-lovers will take over Southampton Common we the first-ever Common People festival tomorrow and Sunday.

Fatboy Slim and Grace Jones will do the headline sets, and there will also be music from Clean Bandit, Years & Years, De La Soul, Derrick Carter, Husky and many more.

Other entertainment on the common will include Morris Dancers, vintage fairground rides and artists creating original works.

There will also be an ‘ultimate playground’ for youngsters and an experiential space for knitting creations for yarnbombing.

Organiser Rob da Bank says: ‘I love festivals mainly for music, but after that it’s all about high jinks, fun and games.

‘When we launched we didn’t wanna be the same as everyone else.’
