ACCLAIMED folk singer Vin Garbutt will be performing in Hambledon next week.

The Middlesborough-born songwriter, known as the Teesside Troubadour, will be featuring at Hambledon Folk Club on Wednesday.

Mik Norman, a member of the club, said: ‘Vin is in great demand on the folk music circuit and the club is fortunate to get him.

‘He has a wide repertoire with songs poignant, funny or topical – and enjoyed by all ages so a great family gig.

‘Vin will be joined by the acclaimed Irish singer/songwriter Kieran Halpin as support act – so a fantastic evening of music is in store. There may also be a surprise guest or two.’

The venye is the Youth Hut Hambledon, West Street, next to the village hall. Doors open at 7.30pm for 8pm start.
