Last year The Boomtown Rats reformed after 27 years – and next week they come to the Pyramids Centre.

Drummer Simon Crowe says: ‘There’s interest out there in seeing the band again, The Boomtown Rats is a household name, and we just thought it would be really good fun...and maybe we could make a bit of dosh.

‘We’re pretty much doing all the hits and a few album tracks off the first three albums, which is what people want to hear. It’s all the stuff that people remember.’

Bob Geldof and the boys are in town on Friday, October 31, doors open 7.30pm. Tickets cost £27.50. Go to pyramids-live.co.uk
