Waster is more than just a club night.
With regular live bands, guest DJs, Southsea Mafia DJs, giveaways and special offers, it is one of the best things to do on a Friday night.
Tonight, the Guide Award nominated club night stage will be graced by Guide Award Best Solo Artist runner-up Luke Ferre and his band.
Former solo artist and now frontman Luke has assembled some of the best musicians in town as part of his band.
‘They were last seen on the Waster stage embarrassing The Hoosiers effortlessly when they were invited to support them last year,’ says promoter and (Guide Award-winning) DJ Will Chump.
Since then, The Luke Ferre Band have played several support slots for artists like Misty Miller and The Blanks, as well as being invited to play at the Southsea bandstand.
The four-piece folk-pop group from Waterlooville have also featured on BBC Introducing and have just self-funded a debut EP.
Support tonight comes from God Send, who boast a healthy mixture of No Doubt, Save Ferris, Paramore and Weezer.
Frontwoman Fizz has been compared to Gwen Stefani, Tammy Wynette and Joan Jett, with the power to captivate and enthral in equal measure.
Will Chump adds: ‘I advise you get in early and check out this energetic band. They always entertain crowds wherever they play.’
Alongside these two live bands will be DJ sets of classic and cutting edge indie, dubstep, electro, punk, funk, retro, rock, rave and riot.
