Music runs in the blood for Ethan Johns, son of legendary music producer Glyn Johns, who worked with the likes of Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.

Ethan initially followed in his father’s footsteps, producing for Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon, Tom Jones and the Kaiser Chiefs, but the multi-instrumentalist has finally been coaxed out from behind the mixing desk to perform his own material.

Johns’s 2012 debut Album, If Not Now Then When?, spans accoustic beauty reminiscent of Nick Drake through to 70s-inspired Hammond organ riffs and blues.

As part of a 13-date tour Johns will perform at the Wedgewood Rooms on Wednesday (September 18). Tickets: £10, from (023) 9286 3911.
