He had a string of 90s hits with The Bluetones but now the indie band’s frontman Mark Morriss has gone solo.
A regular at Eastney’s Cellars between Christmas and New Year, he’s back for the fifth time to give festive fans his Mark Morriss and Friends gig.
The friends in this case are local singer songwriters Andrew Foster and Lewis Brown, who will be supporting Morriss in the evening’s line-up.
Mark fronted The Bluetones over a fruitful 15 year- period, scoring 14 top 10 singles and three top 10 albums, while touring the UK, Europe and Japan.
At the back end of 2011 the decision was made to disband The Bluetones, resulting in a farewell tour.
He released debut solo album Memory Muscle in 2008 and latest material A Flash of Darkness this year.
The Cellars gig is tonight and doors open at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £8 in advance and £10 on the door.
