Dozens more acts have been announced today as joining the line-up of the Icebreaker festival in January.

From the indie-punk of The Stayawakes, to The Southerlies’ country, via singer-songwriter Sophie Darling, pictured, and the electronica of Minque, 39 more names have been added to the bill.

More than 100 acts are expected to play across 12 venues in the Albert Road/Elm Grove area during the one day event which celebrates the best in local music.

The organisers listened to 750 applicants wanting to play before picking the line-up.

They join previously announced headliners including Signals, All About the Song winners Shoot The Duke, Just Millie and Bimbo, among many more.
