When the north wind doth blow, the Quebec-based folk quartet Le Vent du Nord will be making a welcome return to Forest Folk.

The four piece have been delighting crowds since emerging in 2002 with their mix of fiddle, guitar, accordion and hurdy-gurdy.

The multiple award-winners perform a beguiling mix of original material and songs taken from the traditional Canadian repertoire sung in their native French.

And multi-instrumentalists Nicolas Boulerice, Simon Beaudry, Olivier Demers, and Réjean Brunet are renowned for their live shows and ability to get the crowds on their feet.

They are at Forest Folk, Trampers Lane, North Boarhunt, on Monday. Doors open 7.30 pm for an 8pm start. Tickets are £15, call 01329 833625, (023) 9226 4288 or email info@forestfolk.co.uk
