MUSIC filled the fields of Wickham as thousands of revellers enjoyed another glorious day at the Wickham Festival.

Day three of the festival, which is in its ninth year, saw Seth Lakeman and The Proclaimers take the top two spots in the main stage.

Music took place across three stages and playing the acoustic stage was Papertrains, an Americana string band from Southampton.

Double bassist Jon Brendan, known as JB, from Sarisbury Green, said: ‘I can’t fault the festival. I love it. Every year we spend the entire weekend here.’

It is the fifth year the band has played the festival, after they formed in 2011.

They played two gigs, the first to a packed house in the ale bar on Thursday evening.

The festival continues today and will see 10cc headline the main stage. Tickets are available on the gate - adults £50, under 16s £25 and under 10s go free. Discount rates available after 6pm.
