The Kings Theatre pulsated with pop music, and there was a few female pulses racing as well on Saturday.

Because not only did Back For Good, a Take That tribute band sound spine-chillingly the same as the real thing, they also had the mannerisms of Gary, Mark, Jason and Howard.

As BFG went into Rule The World with Danny Paul Maines taking the lead, closing my eyes it could have been Gary Barlow singing.

Then Matthew Hall (Mark Owen), went into Hold Up a Light, swiftly followed by the more recent Take That hits Patience, and Shine.

Then a medley of Beatles hits, which was beautifully harmonised. and then Take That’s 90s hits complete with nifty footwork.

Finishing with Relight My Fire, the audience was up dancing, waving arms and singing. It might have been a boy band on a budget show, but Danny, Matthew, Joe, and Jay were superb showmen.
