The evening started with pure sophistication as supporting act Phebe Edwards warmed up the audience with her breathtaking voice.

Minutes later, the scene was set in simple form of an acoustic guitarist, two female backing singers and two instrumentalists.

Standing strong in front of an elegantly dressed stage with black drapes and strobe lights, Gabrielle looked entirely at ease.

‘We love you Gabrielle,’ an audience member shouted, filling the silence. And just like that, the stage was hers.

Gabrielle needed no introduction, she knew, and so did her audience that they were going to be in for a treat.

As she began clapping her hands, the fans did too, beginning her show with songs such as Give Me a Little More Time, the singer’s voice took everyone on a journey from past to present.

Lost in her words, the audience came alive. Gabrielle and her team were timeless.

Performing on a high and spreading a wave of inspiration – more than 20 years since its debut, the lyrics to Dreams were still being whispered by her fans as made their way home.
