Grease is the latest movie to receive the Sing-a-Long treatment following the likes of The Sound of Music and the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The 1978 classic starring John Travolta and Olivia-Newton John still has everyone singing and dancing 36 years after its release.
Before the screening began, the audience were taken through a vocal warm-up by the host and given a quick lesson on how to hand jive and instructions on how to use the props handed out in goodie bags on entry to the theatre.
Taken back to the ’50s and Rydell High, the crowd were in good voice throughout.
Props were used at key moments in the film, such as a tissue for Sandy’s heartbreak in Hopelessly Devoted To You and a chequered flag to wave Danny off in the big race.
With dancing in the aisles, the evening certainly proved that Grease is still the word!
