Summer sun arrived on spring’s final evening but it was Rudimental who lit up glorious Goodwood with an electric two-hour DJ set at the first of the racecourse’s Three Friday Nights.

A dynamic combination of racing, music and dancing, the sell-out event has proved popular with punters since its inception in 2011.

Its prosperity coincides with the meteoric rise of BRIT-nominated East London quartet (Piers Aggett, Kesi Dryden, Amir Amor and Leon Rolle), from the capital’s underground music scene to the top of the UK album and singles charts (twice).

The drum ‘n’ bass collective have taken the British music scene by storm and looked every bit at home on the parade ring of ‘the world’s most beautiful racecourse’, captivating an expectant and glamorous crowd.

Spectacular laser displays and explosive energy accompanied crowd pleasers such as remixed versions of Dizzee Rascal’s ‘Bonkers’.
