A loyal fan base welcomed Olly Knights, Gale Paridjanian, Rob Allum and Eddie Myer to the Wedgewood Rooms, and in return the band interacted well with the crowd.

Injecting humour into the performance, various attempts were made to promote the new album, as well as Myer’s solo jazz album.

The folk-rock-inspired quartet weaved in and out of their seven studio albums. From Lost Property, the title track of their new album, to other classics Long Distance, Painkiller, Emergency 72 and Feeling Oblivion, followed by an extended encore of Save Me.

An outstanding performance by a traditional four-piece, the music was inspiring, and the fantastic vocals from Knights blended perfectly with the melodic and sometimes heavier riffs.

Turin Brakes deserve so much more, and if you haven’t heard them yet, then put them on your wishlist, playlist or Christmas list.
