Soul rockers Reef are back with renewed vigour after bringing in a new guitarist.

The British group have been joined by Jesse Wood, previously of The Ronnie Wood Band and Faces.

With their last studio album Getaway released back in 2000, the group created a greatest hits CD before disbanding in 2003.

With Jesse Wood apparently giving the group a ‘fresh impetus’ work has finally begun on a brand new project.

Currently comprised of Gary Stringer (vocals), Jack Bessant (bass), Jesse Wood and Dominic Greensmoth (drums), the group announced their return to the music scene in March, with a cover version of Aretha Franklin’s gospel hymn How I Got Over.

Following the success of the track, Reef recorded Live At St Ives which was recorded during two live shows at the St Ives Guildhall; with this, the new single and a UK tour planned, the group began work on a new studio album.
