Pop duo The Proclaimers bring their unique mix of pop, punk and country to the historic setting of the Kings Theatre next Friday (September 20).

The Scottish twins celebrated 25 years in the music business this year with the release of greatest hits compilation The Very Best Of: 25 Years (1987-2012).

The hard-touring, activist brothers are famous for songs such as I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles), I’m On My Way, Letter from America and Sunshine on Leith, which has become an anthem for their beloved Hibernian Football Club.

The Proclaimers have stayed true to the soulful vocals and foot-tapping melodies that made them a hit back in the 80s. This down-to-earth, approachable sound has retained it’s popularity with each of the band’s last three albums placing inside the top 40 including their most recent offering, Like Comedy, which was released in 2012.

Tickets: £24.50 from kings-southsea.com or call (023) 9282 8282.
