There will be a blast from the past in Fareham when the sounds of the 60s come to town.

A new production touring the UK features Herman’s Hermits, The Marmalade, Chris Farlowe and Steve Ellis’s Love Affair.

From 1964 Herman’s Hermits chalked up more than 23 top 20 singles, 10 hit albums and three major movies.

Their chart-topping hits include Mrs Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter, Silhouettes, There’s A Kind Of Hush, Henry VIII, Something Is Happening and I’m Into Something Good.

The Marmalade scored in the UK charts in 1968 with Lovin’ Things and later had a number one with a cover of The Beatles’ Ob La Di Ob La Da. Other tracks included Reflections Of My Life and Back On The Road,

Originally Chris Farlowe and the Thunderbirds started out in the late 50s. Chris later moved on to perform all over Europe and still does .

His hits include Out Of Time, Handbags and Gladrags (which was also released by Rod Stewart as a single ) Let The Heartaches Begin and Reach Out I’ll Be There.

Formed in 1967, Steve Ellis’s Love Affair stormed into the charts with Everlasting Love. At the time Steve was only 17 but with his distinctive voice, he and the band notched up further hits including Rainbow Valley and Bringing On Back The Good Times.
