Their 2009 song Sweet Disposition soundtracked the summer three years ago, spending more than six months in the UK singles chart and peaking at No.6.
The Temper Trap’s biggest hit has continued in our musical conscious via use in various TV advertising campaigns.
It was taken from the Australian indie band’s debut album of the same year, Conditions, which sold more than 800,000 copies worldwide.
Now Temper Trap are back with an extra band member (Joseph Greer on keyboard and guitar makes five) and a new album.
Their second album is self titled and due for release on May 21.
The first single from the album will be opening track Need Your Love, which comes out on Monday ahead of the band’s sold out show at the Wedgewood Rooms in Southsea on Thursday.
The gig comes after a sell-out run of shows and ahead of a packed schedule of headline dates and festival appearances.
If you missed out on Wedge tickets, they play at the Brighton Dome as part of the Great Escape Festival next Friday, May 11.
Tickets cost £14.50 from seetickets.com.
