With the weather forecast predicting that things are going to take a dive over the next few days, anyone still wanting to get a weekend-long fix of live music without getting a soaking should head down to EdgeFest.

The three-day event is celebrating all things heavy and it gets underway from 6.30pm today when Alita take to the stage at the Wedgewood Rooms.

The day’s bill is topped by the cyber-metal of Black Futures.

On Saturday, music will be on both the Wedge and Edge of the Wedge stages, starting from 2.30pm, with Attention Thieves headlining.

The final day will be in the Edge only, with music from 3pm, and is headlined by Palm Reader.

Mixing the best of local and regional acts it promises to bring the noise.

Tickets are £7 for today and Sunday, and £10 for tomorrow.

The event is supported by Violent Heart clothing and Quay West Studios.
