If you’re one of the millions glued to ITV1 on Saturday and Sunday nights for The X Factor, you’ll be delighted to learn that Tiger Tiger in Gunwharf Quays now has the ultimate Friday night out for you.
Each week, they’ll be hosting the contestant who left the show the previous weekend.
It all started last Friday when MK1 performed live at the Portsmouth club.
‘We couldn’t have asked or a better act than MK1 to kick-off our X Factor Fridays,’ says Tiger Tiger general manager Jenna Edwards.
‘Apart being very professional and really lovely to everyone they met, Charlie and Sim gave an amazing live performance to the crowd of fans who came to see them. They are an original and hugely talented pair.
‘Now we can’t wait to welcome Jade Ellis to Portsmouth. She is a true vocalist and we can’t wait to see which songs she chooses to perform tonight.’
Jade Tweeted on Tuesday that I Need would be in her set list. The Londoner also hit out at X Factor judges this week, telling The Sun: ‘I don’t think the decision on Sunday was based entirely on the sing-off. The judges were thinking about their own acts.
‘I believe I sang that song to a really high standard and if that wasn’t enough to save me I honestly don’t know what I could have done. The vote could have been tactical. Maybe the judges thought Union J were less of a threat to their singers in the competition.’
‘I’m happy to have achieved what I have on The X Factor and I’m going to carry on,’ she adds.
After studying musical theatre at college, 25 year-old mum of one Jade worked as a bike mechanic.
She tips Jahmene and James to do well in the remainder of the contest.
‘Both are emotive and genuinely outstanding, and, for me, it’s got to be James Arthur,’ she says
But, if either or both of them leave the contest by December 2, fans will get to see them at Tiger Tiger too, with the finale of the club’s X Factor nights happening on December 7.
Jenna concludes: ‘Portsmouth fans can now enjoy three nights of X Factor over the weekend – Friday night performances with us and then the shows on Saturday and Sunday.’
