ALTERNATIVE rock stars Mallory Knox will make a triumphant return to Butserfest as they headline the event in its landmark 10th year.

Also announced today to play at the festival in Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield on September 10 are London rockers Young Guns, rock band Moose Blood, pop-punkers As It Is and ROAM and pop-rockers The Gospel Youth. Electronica-rock crossover outfit The One Hundred also return.

Since their debut at Butserfest in 2012, Mallory Knox have had regular BBC Radio 1 and TV airplay and gone on to conquer the UK and Europe appearing at major festivals, including Reading and Leeds in both 2013 and 2014. They played their Warped Tour in the US last summer and a UK tour with Bring Me The Horizon in November.

Mikey Chapman, the singer for Mallory Knox, said: ‘Butserfest is always a show I look forward to. There’s a real positive atmosphere and it’s the perfect size for a festival for me.

‘We’re stoked to be invited back and can’t wait to play!’

Organised by East Hampshire District Council, Butserfest is the UK’s biggest alcohol and drug free festival.

Council leader, councillor Ferris Cowper, and founder of the festival, said: ‘We are delighted that Mallory Knox is coming back to Butserfest to headline for us in our 10th year. This is a special year for us and having a band of their stature as our headliners shows how far we have come in that time.

‘Butserfest was originally conceived for young people in the area to give them access to a great festival experience with world class music, in a safe environment.

‘Over the past 10 years, it has really delivered on that commitment and gone from strength to strength.’
