A church choir famous for commissioning music by leading composers will give a concert at St Peter and St Paul, Fareham, tonight at 7pm.

The choir of St Matthew’s Church, Northampton, will sing Rejoice In The Lamb, originally written for it by Benjamin Britten, and music by John Rutter, Bob Chilcott and William Byrd as well as Fareham composer John Goss.

The St Matthew’s choir consists of boy and girl choristers aged between eight and 18, with men and women of all ages, and has broadcast on television and radio as well as singing services at cathedrals around the country. Its latest CD, My Lord Has Come, will be on sale at the concert, which will also include organ solos.
