Is there a fan of The Onedin Line in the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s concert planning department?

The question arises because the TV series theme music, taken from Khachaturian’s Spartacus ballet music, features next Friday, April 17 (7.30pm) in a second successive BSO concert at Portsmouth Guildhall.

It will be followed by the same composer’s Violin Concerto, with award-winning young Russian Nikita Boriso-Glebsky as soloist, and Dvorak’s seventh symphony. Aleksandar Markovic conducts.

Tickets cost £29.50 to £14.75 (concessions available) from 0844 453 9028 or bsolive.com.
