REVIEW: 25 Years of Reeves & Mortimer: The Poingant Moments at Portsmouth Guildhall

It's been a year in the making due to Bob Mortimer's heart surgery but it was worth the wait. Reeves and Mortimer provided a nostalgic journey of slapstick with familiar characters from their Smell Of... series to Shooting Stars.

We welcomed Donald and Davey Stott, Graham Lister, Man with Stick and Mulligan and O’Hare.

Despite celebrating 25 years of these national treasures, the jokes have not aged, unlike Vic and Bob, who continue to make people laugh with their enthusiastic energy.

The two-and-a-half hour show seemed daunting but time flew by much like the beloved Dove from Above who was greeted with audience cooing.

There was audience participation, with Judge Nutmeg sentencing a willing member of the public forced on stage to complete the thigh rubbing dance for his acquittal.

Once again, the pair didn’t fail to entertain and can still provide their fans with a Big Night Out. STACEY KILLON
