Have your say

Following the success of his 2010 tour, Al Murray, The Pub Landlord has extended Barrel of Fun into 2011.

Barrel of Fun Extra: Classic Hits and New Bits will see The Guv once again turn his attention to the current needs of his Beautiful British public. From global warming, the Taliban and a PC-world gone mad, to the true threat to mankind – erectile dysfunction.

Al applies his glass-half-drunk logic to modern day stresses and strife, while championing the causes that have caught his charitable eye, such as Ginger Rights (‘they’re the British Aborigines and need to be left alone’) and donating some killer chat-up lines for the romantically-challenged.

He says: ‘These extra dates are all about meeting regulars in their locals. There is nothing finer than raising a glass of the usual amongst friends. Coming to your towns, towns I haven’t been to in years or ever before, all so you don’t have to come to me – it’s Common Sense.’

See his return to Portsmouth Guildhall next Friday, May 27, from 8pm. Tickets cost £25.50 from (023) 9282 4355.
