An evening of frivolity and foolishness

An evening of pure frivolity and foolishness has been promised for anyone who dares enter the House of Burlesque when it rolls into the Kings Theatre, Southsea for one night only on October 2.

Hosted by ‘internationally-acclaimed gin-addled cabaret reprobate’ Joe Black, the cast of this devilish extravaganza boasts a deviant array of talents from the UK’s burlesque circuit.

Visitors to the House of Burlesque have been encouraged to dress up in order to feel fully immersed in the saucy atmosphere it will undoubtedly create.

Artist and model Beau Rocks will provide lashings of raunchiness in a performance full of ‘glamour with a heart-warming pinch of girl next door calamity’.

Mysti Vine will make an innovative appearance of ‘beautifully bold’ proportions, alongside the likes of exotica goddess Luna Rosa and filthy side-splitter Abigail Collins.

Feel seduced by the Monroe-esque allure of performer Laura Nixon, and overjoyed by a trip to the silver screen with cabaret act Cinebra.

Arran Shurvington, a ‘loveable monster maker and nightmarish comedy impersonator’, will bring a touch of terror to the evening, before resident double act Terms of Unnervement bring a touch of surrealism with their parodies and uncanny impersonations.

Expect old-fashioned fun, but prepare to lose your inhibitions and embrace your naughty side.
